De Eindhovenaar
There is a Bed&Breakfast in town named 'De Eindhovenaar'. I mean, come on... No doubt about it that I had to take a look inside.
They have a really cool concept of making you feel at home in Eindhoven. You can rent an apartment, all of them are quite big, and feel like a local for a while. And I'm pretty sure you will feel like a local here. All spaces are really homely with truly amazing furniture! With its location in the middle of the city center, this is what living in Eindhoven feels like.
I met the owner of this B&B, Myke, such a lovely lady. She showed me around two of the apartments, which are all named after a famous 'Eindhovenaar'. I saw the 'Coen' (Dillen) and the 'Rob' (van Gijzel).
Both fairly different from the inside and out, but likewise in coolness. Myke does the decorating herself, supported by art from Jetty van Wezel who does the best drawings. Please notice the city map of Eindhoven on your way out, I really want a copy of that.
If you fall in love with the oddities or can't stop thinking of the furniture in this B&B you just have to say so. Everything is actually for sale :).
My goal is to portrait the best places to stay in our town and this really is one of them. The only (studio) apartments in a real convenient spot, right in the middle of everything. A home away from home. I would move in if I didn't have a home yet ;).
